When is it time?
The fence will tell you.
Leaning posts. Soft wood. A gate that drags. A line that feels open. One weak point fixed now is a whole job avoided later.
Privacy is gone
The yard feels exposed. A tighter layout or taller panel brings the space back.
The gate fights back
Sagging gates waste time every day. A better opening changes the whole fence.
Posts stopped holding
Movement at the posts turns small repairs into full sections.
The edge is unclear
Commercial sites, rentals, and family yards work better with a clean boundary.

Highly recommend All4 Fencing! We had multiple consultations with other companies, and All4 gave us the best bang for our buck (we were quoted +$10k more from other companies for the same material/work). We were debating between vinyl and wood (plus chain link for the back), and All4 was very straightforward in their quotes w...
All4Fencing was wonderful to work with, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They were extremely generous and patient with all of the questions we asked them in the several weeks it took us to decide on which fence we wanted to go with. Ultimately, we were thrilled with their work, the price was right, and their worke...
So happy we chose to work with All 4 Fencing! We had them come out and replace out chainlink fence and gate with a white vinyl privacy fence. After calling multiple fencing companies they had the best price by a decent amount. They were very communicative throughout the entire process, came out multiple times to check out the...

We have used All4 twice now, for three different types of projects. First, they fenced in our front yard with black chain link, taking down some old fencing and replacing it. It came out great and we love it! During the same project, they also moved up our side wood fence (on the right) and built us a wood gate to access the...
We had a great experience working with the All 4 Fencing team. James was an excellent project manager — organized, professional, and worked seamlessly with the crew to ensure everything came together perfectly. Dustin took the time to go over the project details beforehand, which helped avoid any surprises and made the proces...

FAQ
Good questions before the quote.
Is All4Fencing fully licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes. All4Fencing is fully licensed, bonded, and insured in the state of Washington.
Can I put the fence on my property line?
In most situations you can, but All4Fencing does not recommend it. The safer recommendation is to set the fence back six inches inside your property line so the fence is entirely on your property. That helps make sure the fence is yours and is not shared property with your neighbor.
There are exceptions. If the fence cost is being shared with a neighbor, you may want the fence on the property line. There may also be community, city, or county setbacks that require the fence to sit inside the setback line.
Do I need a property survey?
If you are installing a fence on the property line, yes. Re-installing a fence usually costs more than hiring a surveyor first.
What happens if I can’t find my property markers?
Usually the property markers are still there, but they may be buried under an inch or two of dirt and debris. If some markers are visible and some are missing, All4Fencing can usually work from a copy of your plot plan.
If no property markers are available, you will need a surveyor to relocate the property lines. This is often less expensive if you use the same surveyor listed on the plot plan because they already have the information needed to mark the property.
Do I need a building permit?
Yes. If you live within city limits, you will usually need both city and county permits. If you live outside an incorporated town or city, only a county permit is usually required.
In most cases this still applies when replacing an existing fence with the same style of fence. If your community has a homeowners association, you may also need HOA approval before fence construction.
How do I decide what fencing materials will meet my needs?
Start with the main reason for the fence: privacy, durability, design, safety, pets, or curb appeal.
Privacy: if you want to block views into your home or yard, a taller privacy fence with smaller slats is usually the best fit. It can also help deter intruders.
Durability: wood, vinyl, and metal all age differently. Wood can look beautiful but often needs washing, staining, or painting. Vinyl is easy to clean. Metal fencing is usually the strongest option, though it may not have the same curb appeal as wood or vinyl.
Design: if the fence is mainly about improving the look of the property, there are many custom options that can accent the home, garden, or landscape.
What kind of fence is best for me?
All4Fencing’s estimators can help point you in the right direction. Before the estimate, think about why you want or need the fence. Is it to keep a child or dog in? Is it for privacy? Is it to accent your property or landscaping?
Once the purpose is clear, the estimator can recommend fence types and styles that fit both your needs and your budget.
Why should I have a wrought iron railing?
All4Fencing uses solid steel to construct railings, which is much stronger than aluminum or vinyl.
What is galvanizing and why should I galvanize my wrought iron railing, fence, or gate?
Galvanizing is a process that helps prevent steel from rusting. With a paint or powder-coated finish, it creates a low-maintenance product.
How high of a fence can I or should I get?
It depends on what the fence needs to do. If you are keeping in a child or dog, a four-foot chain link fence, split rail with wire, western red cedar picket fence, or PVC vinyl picket fence is often high enough.
Privacy fences are usually six feet high. Seven- or eight-foot fences may be possible, but anything over six feet can run into restrictions from a homeowners association, county, or city government.
What style of fence is best for a pool enclosure?
Choose a fence you can see through easily in case someone gets into the enclosure.
How long will my fence last?
It depends on the fence material. All4Fencing builds with high-quality materials.
A chain link fence, especially with vinyl-coated chain link fabric, can last 20 to 25 years without serious rust. A spruce stockade wood fence can last 12 to 15 years. A custom-built western red cedar fence can last 20 to 25 years.
Most PVC vinyl fence comes with a limited lifetime warranty and, from All4Fencing’s perspective, can last indefinitely. It should be the last fence you need to buy.
When should my fence be installed if I’m building a new house?
The best time to install a fence during new construction is after the final grade is complete but before seeding or sodding is done.
Please allow four weeks of notice before fence installation. That means the contract should be signed and the deposit received four weeks before the expected installation date.
How should I protect my new wood fence?
There are many products available to protect wood, including clear or tinted wood preservatives, colored stains, and paints. The choice is yours.
All4Fencing recommends waiting about three months so the wood is dry before coating it. It is also fine to let the wood gray naturally, although adding a protective coating can add years to the life of the fence.
Will All4Fencing stain or paint my fence?
No. All4Fencing does not provide staining or painting. The main reason is scheduling: it is difficult to schedule fence installation and then return three to six months later to apply a protective coating.
If you use a wood preservative or stain, coating the fence can usually be done with a standard garden pump sprayer.
